MAGA- please explain to me why you are against science research? I’m so confused by this. Do you never intend to use any products that were developed via scientific research or never go to a doctor?

Look at the thread about the shutdown. They truly do not understand how anything works. They think taxes are just the government taking money from them, and that all the things our taxes pay for would somehow still happen if we were to stop collecting taxes.

I’m not MAGA but this is what I think the problem is, having listened to a moronic meeting yesterday and catching various blurbs from Jr.

They are unwilling to except that some information is better than no information. That “some information” may not be perfect, but the alternative is nothing.

It’s virtually impossible to collect data where every factor is controlled particularly when it comes to medical research and because every variable cannot be controlled they don’t trust it or at least use that as a foundation for spreading mistrust and misinformation.

The alternative is no data and that is much easier for them to comprehend.

Why do you care about appearing insufferable to people you admit are in a cult? And why should we care that they don't respond to threads about the lack of logic or sense to claims they make? Should we not continue to speak freely, and make the glaring lies as hard for them to ignore as possible?

They’re against it because people who shill supplements and snake oil benefit when science is deemed untrustworthy. Why buy actual medicine when you can spend your money on magic woo woo powder that sells at a 2000% markup? Since no one can ever know anything, it’s just as good!

Those people happen to be major advertisers on conservative news platforms (in part because regular advertisers didn’t want to be seen there). As a result, many of them have the ear of the Republican Party and the current administration. One even runs the Department of Health and Human Services.

Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Government is definitely not perfect but it does do (or did) some GREAT things, like funding novel scientific research that private corporations won't touch because that baseline research is almost never profitable.

One thing the feds could clean up is not having political appointees so deep down in government. Leave them at the top. Let merit staff manage the rest.
