Some 8th graders have already started practicing and playing with their private high school.

They got the helmet last August, which was when they were actually supposed to enter 9th grade.

With our VLC boys out here too, Looks like your goalie ain’t staying at VLC. He looks pretty good.

There were only two DCE helmet at NL last night. Only two open spots, so a money grad for NL either way, send your kids packing back home

Curious how you came up with just two open spots?

DCE helmets are top of class middies, They are actively being recruited and will land at either NL or VLC, no question. So if there are actually only a couple slots at NL, those guys will get them at 25 NL.

Why not stay at DCE if they’re top class middies?

I bet it's because they're on DCE Orange. If they could make NL Blue, that would be huge for them, but NL Red or VLC would be a meh trade from DCE Orange quite frankly.

I have no idea whether players can make the jump from DCE Orange to Black. Is it like MadLax, where you get stuck on DMV and moving up to Caps is basically impossible?

Anyone know anything about the coach of the new VLC 28 team?

Very little movement from orange to black. Black generally only pulls in new talent from other clubs.

Create a new thread called 2025. This has really moved away from anything about VLC lacrosse.

Exactly, why would they move kids if the parent is willing to pay for the B team? Once you take that B offer they know they have you.

Getting back to VLC the 2023 boys balled today.

Why so many new coaches at VLC? I thought the culture is the best in the region.

Same culture. Esp. impressed with the DI-player coaches this summer. They are not just wallflowers. They are coaching from the sidelines, on the sidelines, off the field, etc. Certainly has paid off this summer.

younger teams (25s&27s) have culture issues from absentee coaching encouraging the right things, correcting the wrong things and getting the kids to play as a team. Everyone can see it in practice and games. the college players helping out in the summer haven't forgot this from their past vlc days and do this so its appreciated even if was late in the year.

the fact that there is 87 pages of people talking about VLC indicates there is a level of passion about this club.
