I don’t know what is funnier or sadder! The epic failure of this Riverbend FC cluster eff or the fact that NVA rushed to hitch their horse to their failing wagon? Makes both clubs look like the joke that it has become.

+1 NVA is in a death spiral on the girls side and is trying to tread water for the next few years. Most likely saw RBFC as a slush fund to keep them afloat.

Why would Loudoun remain connected to NVA now that they have their own GA and Aspire? Wouldn't they be better suited keeping all of their talent going forward? Are NVA employees still part of Loudoun staff and therefore the partnership. How can the pathway to NVA be Loudoun top teams and RBFC Aspire. Does Loudoun receive kickbacks for allowing NVA to use their fields? If the partnership broke, how would NVA get fields? Does Loudoun also have MLSN homegrown on the boys side or only NVA? This is all a bit confusing the way it is currently set-up.

Loudoun does not have HG. I guess they would need to do really well in AD to have a shot at HG, but I don’t see how that would happen when their best players go to NVA.

Then actually just appointed a CSO - Chief Soccer Officer (🤷🏻‍♂️) - over both entities. Whatever that means or whatever it is, it sure sounds like the goal is to bring them closer together, not separate them.

Loudoun only owns the 2 fields at LSP. The rest of the fields they use belong to the county. NVA would still have access to those.

What does one have to do with the other? Any organization can rent fields through the county. Loudoun Soccer had no affiliation with Loudoun County. They rent the fields the same way every other soccer club does.

There’s a lot of competition for fields. In Fairfax, at least, having a big rec program helps get priority.

Organizations without rec programs or for profits get last priority and all the fields are taken before they get to them.

percentage of county residents for their specific sport countywide. For each non-
instructional league player, you may request one corresponding travel player as
part of your request.
For example, if your league has 100 recreational players and 50 travel
players, you may count all travel players as part of your request. If your
league has 100 rec players and 250 travel players, you may only count 100
of the travel players in your request.


Why else do you think tsjfc has free rec?
