Lewis doesn’t have boundary issues. Lewis has progamming issues. Drop IB and do full AP and attendance will come back. |
I really don't think they can get away with doing anything drastically different than what’s been put out now. I’m not defending them, but they have had the opportunity to put blame on Thru. The new western high school could shift things if you are regionally close to it with the next iteration and it’s definitely frustrating that’s coming at the 11th hour. |
Yeah of all the elementary schools in play, Oak Hill is the only that can provide capacity relief at Chantilly, so I think the whole school will move to KAA. |
| Wouldn’t put it past them to move Oak Hill to Westfield to backfill all of what they lose from Floris/Coates/Mcnair/etc. |
True hut I suspect they will move kids from Centreville to do that. Scenario 4 has 100ish kids moving from Centreville to Westfield and it still leaves Centreville at 104% |
That makes absolutely no sense. Talk about an island. They would have to drive through KAA boundary or Chantilly boundary to get to Westfield. |
And, there is still new construction near Westfield. |
No. Do you know anything about the demographics of WSHS? The border has zero impsct on the population of WSHS. |
It’s exactly what Floris/Coates/Mcnair have to do today to get to Westfield. Drive south past/through Oak Hill and FF areas… |
It is shocking though that FCPS moved 200 upper middle class Rolling Valley homes out of Lewis to WSHS. |
Unbelievable. They are basically stomping on a struggling school when it’s already down. |
Stop spreading these lies. There are possibly 100 townhomes in that small area. And that’s generous. |
| Why bring new areas to WSHS, better keep areas which are already there to minimize disruption, if overcrowding is suddenly not an issue. How does this make any sense? |
It’s not down it’s dead and time for a change. |
WSHS LOST over 250 homes. Stop this nonsense you are trying. Same poster. Over and over again talking to yourself. |
