Interestingly it appears the parents to not suspect "the boy" of anything and seemed to appreciate his telling them what he knew.

I think you are exaggerating.

Thread is full of trolls or boy mom hysterics.

It can’t yet be ruled out that he may have harmed her.

Of course parents wanted info.

You are quoting a friend of the family btw.

After watching this clip, it appears the parents to not suspect "the boy" of anything and seemed to appreciate his telling them what he knew.

^ Where does it say they don't suspect?

Probably they are hanging on to last threads of hope or looking for answers and not leaving any stone unturned but doesn't want to accuse anyone of anything without any evidence.

Four tourists tried swimming in red flag conditions and drowned. Don’t know if there were any mitigating conditions, like alcohol. I believe all were men.

yep, red flag swimming can kill anyone

In Florida you can get arrested for swimming when the red flags are up. The life guards do not want to drown while saving your stupid drunk self. In the DR they don't care.

It is understandable that family and friends are devastated. If a rogue wave in fact swept them off the beach, or they ventured into the rough seas, they had little chance of getting out. If she didn't know how to swim, there is your answer. Very tragic. Please accept our condolences for your loss, it's every parent's worst nightmare.

They're going to keep him in a hotel room for how long? And does Mr.Loudoun county along with fbi(??) continue investigating there?

Regardless if she did or not, as you say "rough seas" is tough seas for even the most advanced swimmers.

You're embellishing. The video just says he went to the beach with them to "demo" what happened not what the parents think about him. It does seem he's trying to be helpful. His father is with him and I would think, if there's any real suspicion or anything to hide, they would have immediately lawyered up. He's not behaving in a guilty manner.

Teach your daughters to be safe. I feel terrible for her parents.

Often true

so but this reasoning, Sudiksha met trouble because her parents failed to teach her to be safe?

While it may not be anyone's business here to know, did they look into her state of being prior to this trip, this school year etc..for any red flags (no pun intended)?

Nothing indicates they didn't.

Anonymous wrote:Its so incredibly obvious that she drowned, drunk. Its the only logical explanation. I don't understand the finger pointing at the other drunk kids. Yes, they were on spring break. Kids do dumb sh!t on spring break. I also did incredibly stupid stuff in Daytona Beach in 1996. Most people get lucky, she didn't.

Yep. We swam at night completely trashed at Panama City Beach in 1998. My friend left "Club La Vela" (tagline "Party with Thousands!") completely wasted with an equally wasted guy..to ride without a helmet on his motorcycle. They hooked up at his trailer and she showed up after noon the next day. People do incredibly stupid stuff drunk on spring break.

And others went on alternative spring breaks. the spring break you and several posters have written here is not the only type of spring break experiences of college students et al

Alternative spring breaks are "alternative" because they are NOT the norm. In our culture, the common understanding for college spring breaks are for drinking and partying. The behavior of these kids was totally normal. She was falling down- drunk and drowned.

Not only guilty lawyer up, people worried of getting wrongly accused also do.

How do we know he has not?

If he lies to FBI that may be a US crime.

Assume parents got him legal help.

His uncle claims Ribe has a girlfriend. Wonder if she or her friends have seen him have a temper?
