At what point do men have the upper hand in the dating market?

At what point do men have the upper hand in the dating market? It seems to me that when women want to date there is no shortage of men for them. Men can't say the same thing. So at what point do men have the upper hand? Perhaps it's never

From age 60 for sure. Some will say as low as age 35, as a 35 year old woman on the dating market has a ticking clock and will be desperate, compared to a man of the same age.

Men have the upper hand for marriage, not dating.

When they're rich

I think it depends on the particular man and the particular woman, and what they seek in a potential partner.

Rich men and beautiful women rule the dating market at any age.

This. When you're a rugged cowboy who opens doors and treats women with class you have the upper hand. If you know how to wear a suit and read a good book you have the upper hand. When you know how to tend to period cramps and make dinner you have the upper hand. I'm not saying you need to do all these things but you better do some of them. The same goes for women on knowing how to treat men. We all want respect. Treat someone right and want to make their life better.

Exactly! Masculinity and femininity need to make a comeback. Mutual respect at each other's role in the relationship also.

Many immigrants still have these traditional ideals and can provide some good examples to the out of touch younger Americans.

My entire 40s have been amazing, but it’s not like my 20s were bad. Just not as easy back then and pre-apps never knew when a new relationship would come along after a breakup. I likely stayed in a bad relationship too long mid-20s for that reason.

The person who has the upper hand is the one who never gives two F’s about anyone else. The most dysfunctional one always “wins” in the relationship, until it is damaged beyond repair and abandoned by all.

….And then they’ll think they won!

My Dad is 63, wealthy, fit and a really nice guy. He definitely has the upper hand but doesn't play it.
