That’s awful. But it’s a testament to how rare guns are in Europe that it’s a knife attack and far less deadly than our gun violence which can kill dozens of people in minutes.

Where there is no gun culture, people's instinct is not to "feel lucky" it was a knife attack. 17 + people were stabbed and 6 are in critical condition. It's also one of many attacks in Europe over the past few months. It's pretty terrifying for people who live there, gun or not.

This is misleading. Maybe you mean the worst truck attack had more victims than the worst mass shooting? That may be true. But we have mass shootings more often than they have truck attacks. Mass shootings in the US have killed more than car attacks in Europe.

What’s wrong with silencers? They’re mandatory in many European countries for outdoor shooting ranges and hunting.
