More signs of NCAP in financial trouble? Why switch from Speedo to tyr? Feels odd
I know Ledecky and Bacon are sponsored by tyr but that can’t be the only reason to switch |
The and much better swim brand than Speedo. Speedo is kinda crappy. They also got a much better sponsorship deal and NCAP members getting a sweet discount of Tyr products. I am more than happy with the switch and so is my swimmer |
NCap is definitely getting a cut |
Oh course, that is the point of sponsorship |
It seems like the club is getting more out of this sponsorship deal than they were getting out of the Speedo sponsorship deal. And as a parent, we are getting a nice discount on TYR products that we were not getting from Speedo, so it’s a win for us. |
Why is everything a sign of financial trouble? |
Because the OP is an NCAP hater. |
Hopefully they aren’t going to be strict about only wearing tyr at meets. They do NOT fit my daughter well. |
It’s only a big deal at the Sectional level meets and higher |
Maybe things have changed, but we belonged to a large tyr sponsored team and were told all kids needed tyr goggles for races, to stop bringing their speedo logo towels to meets, and to stop wearing speedo slides. Age 7 and 10 at the time. Covid hit shortly thereafter, so maybe they loosened up afterwards. |
My kid has never worn Speedo unless at the top meets because he prefers Arena and NCAP has never had an issue with it…including NCSAs |
Wasn't Machine Speedo too until recently?
Maybe it’s actually Speedo as a company that in trouble because they aren’t capable of holding up their end of the bargain for the large teams. Ever very thought of that OP? |
Speedo makes an inferior product. I am thrilled NCAP is switching companies |
I hope not. We are happy with our Speedo googles and caps. I am not switching those to TYR. |
Everyone wears the team cap regardless of brand and absolutely no one outside of an individually sponsored athlete is monitoring goggle make. You are being dramatic |
