Bling gossip reports she’s been playing Harry from the start, and purposely isolated him from his family and close friends, to the extent that she’s all he has now. Cold, calculated, narcissistic — wishing to surround herself only with the wealthy and fashionable. I don’t know what to think.

It goes on to say--

It seems the leaking aides realized how badly they screwed this up for the Queen and are now trying to clean up their mess.

That all sounds very credible. It’s been clear for a long time that there were leaks (likely from Will & Kate’s camp) coming out to undermine Harry and Meghan. I suspect the Queen knows it also, which is why Will was the one ordered to fix it with Harry.

The Sun, which was tabloid about to break the story, is owned by Rupert Murdoch (owner of Fox News).

The royal Rota is a system. These few outlets are guaranteed access to the BRF. Also, it seems more then plausible that older long standing members of the BRF and their consort have a relationship members of the rota, and have outsized power.
I’m not particularly invested in Harry or Megan. I’m sure they aren’t perfect, but it seems they ( her in particular) are flayed in the press no matter what they do. There is no way for them to change that system, and the system is abusive to them, so they are leaving it.

Why is that more distasteful than sucking on the taxpayers’ teat or relying on allowances that themselves derive from ultimately historically sketchy sources? The Harpers article makes me feel better. Obviously things could not go on the way they were. And that Royal Rota system, where tabloids hold sway, is crazy.

You know this totally took place. Add in some screaming, yelling, slamming books down for dramatic effect, and the nanny whizzing into the room gently taking Archie from MM's arms and take him for a walk on the grounds so H&M can continue their argument.
