I'm on team-Vindman here, and I did like that response. But it also reminded me of Col. Jessup who was the bad guy. ("I would appreciate it if you would address me as "Colonel" or "Sir." I believe I've earned it.")

You don't know many Army colonels. I think every last one of them I know would've responded the same way as Vindman.

This is true. I don't.

Well. I do and they would not have corrected a Congressman in that manner. And, FWIW, among them is at least one who had "light wounds" as Vindman did and refused to get Purple Heart when he could have. Why, because he understood the sacrifice of so many who had serious injuries.

People do not understand that someone like a double amputee gets the same Purple Heart as someone with "light wounds" who is able to continue working the same day.

This isn't an ordinary hearing. This is an impeachment hearing.

Did you know that?

What are you even saying? He refused the purple heart. Perhaps the colonels you know are always addressed appropriately and; therefore, do not have to correct stupid or disrespectful people.

I don't think he is doing it because his life is at risk (although it is) I think he is doing it to be sure that people understand the seriousness that he takes his position when he testifies. And he is smart to.

The only reason Nunes called him Mr Vindeman was to try to ignore his standing and accomplishments.

I've never been wounded in service to my country, so I wouldn't presume to judge those who have on the subject of whether or not to accept a medal.

Trump's GOP: Our military is nothing but liars and fakers!

Yeah, it was a power play by Nunes, LTC Vindeman recognized it as such, and he didn't allow that maneuver to stand.

I’ve seen nothing to indicate that Gym is a good person. He lies on camera.

He’s been accused of turning a blind eye to abuse. Nothing about his character leads me to doubt those allegations.

What medal would Trump have received? Oh yeah, that’s right, he NEVER served due to his poor tender tootsies. LTC Vindman is a Patriot/loyal American.

Incredible hypocrisy!

These same people didn't complain about Michael Flynn or Ollie North wearing a uniform in Congressional hearings.

A soldier involved in an IED attack doesn't have the opportunity to "refuse a Purple Heart." I'm sure everyone in the vehicle was given one as a matter of course - that's how this works. The fact you're trying to suggest Vindman should've refused his is DISGUSTING.

I hope you're a troll and not an American because you are a repulsive human being.

Rep Sean Patrick Maloney is my new crush and is an excellent example of lawyering. The other reps should pay attention.

Though I see he was born in Canada to US parents, and was raised Catholic. So obviously his allegiance must be questioned.

The President should fire Mister Vindman for insubordination. Participating with Maloney in that DNC as is sickening.

The President should then order Vindman be court-martialed for violating the Hatch Act this morning.

He might do that.

Do you know what the Hatch Act is?
