Either way, I think they paid out of pocket and didn't bother with insurance, but even if they did, no damages against anyone else = no lawsuit and no breathalyzer anyway.

I think it's interesting the NY storyline is addressing Dorinda's alcoholism at this point, and now this with Monique.

Are they really? She’s been a raging drunk for years and they’ve commented on it but nothing is really addressed. And with Luann’s arrest and rehab coming up, Dorinda will continue to be righteous that she doesn’t have a problem.

I stopped watching these shows because they are so fake. I don't believe for a second that Karen and Blue Eyes were cuddling at OZ. She is not that dumb.

She was on WWHL last night and Andy totally wussed our on his questions about it. And of course Monique totally glossed over it and claimed she was up at 5am until 1am every day for two weeks without help from her husband before the accident. I don’t buy that at all...She was drunk.

Re: Monique's accident - didn't she hit a tree? So there wouldn't be any damages, other than to her own car.

I used to like her a lot until she started complaining about how tired she is, etc. etc. Anyone with that amount of wealth can afford to hire all the help she needs. And then the drinking/driving issue. Not good, Monique!

That could be a symptom of a medical issue. It's the only thing I can think of, because otherwise there is absolutely no reason for her to be exhausted all the time. Or she is doing it for attention.

I just watched this show for the first time. OMG - what a joke. The people are not important, rich, glamorous or connected. They are just kind of cheesy UMC (maybe... some just seem MC) nobodies. I dont get it. I mean, does that hideous Karen person really call herself "the Grande Dame of Potomac"? I mean I cant even say that without laughing. Who are these people?

Monique's problem is she is cheap. She has the money to pay for a good nanny, but I suspect there's a couple of reasons she doesn't. One reason: she doesn't want to hire anyone who is smarter than her. Two: she likes to have something to complain about, it's her whole story line for the show.

Other option: maybe no one reputable is willing to work for her.

None of the Real Housewives are necessarily role models but Potomac is far from the least educated group. Actually I think most of the women have college degrees.

Kenya Moore graduated from the University of Michigan with a psychology degree. Phaedra Parks is a licensed attorney in Georgia. The assumption that she graduated from both undergraduate and law school.
