+1 million It's so disturbing to me that Blake supporters try to claim Justin is a racist based on some non-sexual harassment-related suit a Black woman filed against Wayfarer (Wayfarer, not Justin specifically), but a Black woman literally dies on the set of Deadpool and it's NBD to them. |
What? There is no suggestion at all that the woman’s death was related to racism or even that Ryan had anything directly to do with it. Trying to make it into a racist incident is crazy. |
| ^^ And FWIW I am not a Blake supporter and think she has done very racist things. But being the star and one of many producers on a film where a stunt person who happens to be black dies is definitely not evidence of racism. I agree with the PP that it’s intentionally misleading journalism. |
| NAG has a new tik tok up claiming that Ryan Reynolds has been harassing her via alias accounts. |
That was funny. Ain't nobody got time for that. |
It’s hard to justify the blatant disregard for the family. |
I'm pro-Baldoni, but I wish she didn't make that video. She comes off as a little crazy, even though I fully believe celebs -- especially Ryan -- aren't above anonymous comments. |
| What is the tl,dr on why everyone on reddit hates Alex Saks now? |
The blatant disregard for the family meaning the main producer’s insurance not being willing to settle immediately? That’s completely par for the course. They eventually settled’ It also wasn’t even Ryan’s production company that was sued, so remind me why that’s evidence that he’s racist? Racism is a strong allegation to throw around and I really think this one is a crazy stretch that suggests folks have a specific agenda. And again, I do think there’s evidence that Blake is racist and I have no problem saying that Ryan’s wedding is suggestive of racism… but most of the Ryan allegations in the essay are fishing at best and intentionally misleading at worst. The Denzel Washington stuff is very recently all over YT despite the events happening more than 10 years ago, which makes me think that anecdote is being spread by bots somehow… because why are people currently talking about it. Especially when reviewing the Washington clip makes it clear he was being sarcastic/funny in the described incident. It just all reads as very much an intentional smear job. |
Sounds pretty legit actually. |
It’s hard to think of another celebrity who has more racist incidents over the years than Blake lively. And you think Ryan is just married to this racist, but isn’t what himself? Doesn’t quite add up. It’s just weird optics that Ryan is one of the most powerful celebs in Hollywood - or at least was in the last 15 years or so, and all of his controversies onset seem to involve POC. And the fact that he just dissolved a Boone hall LLC earlier this month after Reddit sleuths reported on it is also off. Especially since he came out and denounced the wedding so many years ago. |

That wedding photo in front of the slave quarters is actually bonkers. I don’t even understand why that is an aesthetic they were going for? It’s an old building that looks like it should be torn down… Like why would you want your nice tables and chairs and your guests to be sitting there eating near that? I truly truly do not understand it.
I was totally forgiving when I found out that they had had a wedding at a plantation because I’m from the south and even though I didn’t do that I know it’s very common. But I’ve never seen anything like those slave quarters. That is just beyond bizarre. I thought when they said they saw pictures on Pinterest that they just meant they loved that there was lots of land and gardens and maybe some old barns. What they actually did was insane and absurd. And then to follow that up with the lifestyle brand. And why does Blake say she’s from the south when she grew up in Burbank California???? This case and these people are endlessly fascinating and not in a good way. |
This is stupid, sorry. Lively didn't mistake the picture of Heath's naked wife for porn because Heath is black. She mistook them for porn because Heath showed them to her with no explanation and the pic was of a woman with no clothes on and her legs spread apart, which seems like a sexual situation. Here's a tip: Don't show your co-workers pictures of naked women -- whether it's a porn situation or a birth situation -- without their express permission and some sort of clear warning. THE. END. It's not that hard, guys, even though you keep trying to make Lively seem overreactive or emotional or now racist because the guy showing her the naked pic was black. NO. SHE MISTOOK IT FOR PORN BECAUSE THE WOMAN WAS NAKED AND HAD HER LEGS SPREAD APART. So don't do that. Don't be a dick. |
It continues to be wild to me that people are going hard for the argument that it was okay for Heath to try to show his wife's birthing video to Blake at work. Even if you don't think this is sexual harassment or that Blake overreacted to it, it just seems obvious that this was a major error in judgment on Heath's part. Also, IIRC, Heath only showed Lively the video because Baldoni encouraged him to do it, with the thinking being that Blake had never seen a birth experience like that and would benefit from seeing it. This is... f***ing weird. Those are not good reasons to show someone a very intimate and personal video that features your wife naked. In fact, those are reasons to stop and think "huh this might be unfamiliar to my coworker and she therefore may not view it in the context with which I intend it." The incident doesn't make Baldoni and Heath sound like sexual predators to me, at all. It does make them seem tone deaf, sort of paternalistic, and above all: dumb. |

I still don’t understand how his wife legs were spread apart and she thinks that’s p$&n but they’re is not a baby coming out or crowning? It was a water birth. Do they have underwater cameras? People throw these terms around like they know what happened but it just doesn’t make sense that that was happening.
It also sounded like they were having a meal together and discussing the scene. He didn’t just come up to her and whip it out. Blake was trying to put together a random list of things and hoping that the pattern would show SH. And if you don’t think race has anything to do with it, you haven’t been paying attention. This is the same woman who would regularly breast-feed in front of other colleagues, but when she invited Heath in for a meeting, she made him face the wall. Other option, Blake, would be to go to the regular scheduled meeting that other producers went to, but you thought you didn’t have time for so you are making people come into your trailer while you were multitasking because your time is clearly more important than anyone else’s. |
