Now Trump has the democrat platform reduced to "Save Harvard" and "Keep government inefficient".
The man is a tactical genius. |
Don’t hurt yourself thinking things through, just swallow the kool aid. |
Go stop 50 people on the street and no one will have any clue what's going on with Harvard University. |
Um… this goes to research. Do you think people in academia are getting rich off of research? |
Why would anyone listen to that insufferable windbag? He’s another spiteful right wing extremist billionaire that thinks that he runs the show. On January 3, 2024, Business Insider published an exposé detailing how Ackman's wife, Neri Oxman, plagiarized portions of her dissertation. A day after the article's publication, Oxman apologized for "citation errors" in portions of her dissertation.[106][107][108] Ackman, in response to the article, pledged to conduct a plagiarism review of all MIT faculty, including MIT's president, Sally Kornbluth, who, alongside Gay, attended a congressional hearing on antisemitism in higher education.[106] |
^^^ wall of nonsensical drivel masquerading as whitepaper analysis; and btw, Volpe’s comments are absolutely laughable.
Unrelenting scorn and contempt of the State of Israel is legitimate and very well-deserved. Unless and until Israel stops promoting itself as one-and-the-same with the Jewish people, that scorn and contempt will gather like rainclouds above anyone (including those in the Jewish community) who won’t unequivocally reject and condemn its grotesque policies and actions. Finally, don’t bother with the lame distractions and whataboutism. I hate Hamas 2.8x more than anyone else, I already quit claim deeded my home to a local family of natives, and I tithe generously to anti-genocide relief organizations on all seven continents. |
In Washington they will. Guaranteed. |
I never imagined we would be at a point where Palestinian children’s bodies would be dismembered into pieces and we’re still talking about stopping “antisemitism.” |
The rest of the world is watching too - its not a good look. My department in a Canadian university opened applications for a couple of tenure-track positions and was immediately swamped with US biomedical researchers, many of them quite senior and currently holding multiple large grants that they wouldn't be able to bring. It's sad, and quite shocking, to see. |

Yeah, those 25 words really hit the mark. +1 |
Ugh. |
Do the ridiculous. This battle has made the front page of the Post numerous times. We are talking about the FRONT PAGE here, people! |

Whether or not you agree with these things is separate from who should fix these problems. Do you want the federal government to seize control of these things at a private university?!

Harvard's leaders can continue to be in control of their institution, but I'm fine with not giving them more money.
Research grants are not "giving" them money. Grants pay for expert research services.
Expert research can be done at other institutions.
That’s stupid. I hope that Harvard is fairly compensated in court and they use the funds to build a Barack Obama building on campus. You know, one of the people that actually got into Harvard.
Through affirmative action, as they admitted. Racist policies that are now illegal, Harvard still engaged in even after SCOTUS shut it down. Time to pay the piper. |

Ok, racist maga boy, time to put on your little red little league hat and step away. |
