Harvard under investigation for something it might have actually done.

Harvard is now under investigation for not fully complyung with SFFA. If there is evidence they were actually continuing to engaging in racial preferences they would lose federal funding and tax exempt status.

There is a non-zero chance that Harvard was still engaging in some racial preferences. They are in the unenviable position of having to prove their innocence, there seems to be a presumption of guilt.

Some may say they made this bed they are being forced to lie in and I would agree. They should lose federal funding and tax exempt status for at least the next 4 years.

But how can they prove that they are still using DEI?

I dislike Harvard for a number of reasons but everyone I know who has benefited from their admissions policy was a MAGA applying from a rural town in a deep red state. The applicants, of course, are completely ignorant to the fact that they were a diversity admit. Because of course they are.

You wrote this post with a straight face? I'm sorry that you only know MAGA types and have such a limited circle of friends. You clearly don't know many Harvard grads.

Your reading comprehension makes me suspect you have no connection to Harvard.

Cool, so national universities get the same treatment as brown citizens -- decision first, under an non-applicable legal theory, then a scramble for evidence afterward.

"The 14-page letter about the False Claims Act investigation this week from the Justice Department, signed by Jamie Ann Yavelberg, the director of the agency’s commercial litigation branch, did not detail exactly how Harvard may have defrauded the government."

I’ve lived in 12 cities in 8 states and two other countries. I’ve worked in rural red states for illiterate patients who don’t have health insurance and socialized with DC’s power circle. My life is no bubble.

No one you know in DC's power circle went to Harvard? Or they didn't "benefit" from Harvard's policy because they look like someone who deserves to be there?

I’m sure that the administration will show up to court with its typically incompetent legal representation. Harvard will probably dunk on them so hard that Trump will personally owe them money.

Just like every case they bring. They get to court and the judge or justice is dumbfounded by their lack of knowledge and preparation. As a judge the lack of respect has got to be irritating.

They benefited by being rich and connected. That’s not a DEI admissions policy. That’s been true since they opened their doors.

I've convinced they bring these suits so they can get access to discovery and go fishing for anything & everything, even though there is zero probable cause.

If you can get access to the email system of any organization, you can find a crime (purposeful or inadvertent).
