I Just Love Frieda McFadden!

Anyone else here who is obsessed w/this author’s body of work??

I love her suspense novels so much - I bought her most recent one titled “The Tenant” this wk. & plan on staying home the entire wknd devouring it. 📚

Does anyone recommend any other authors out there that write fantastic suspense novels like hers?
Mary Kubica??

Her books are my easy brain candy reads that reset me after reading longer historical fiction. The next one on my list is The Ex. Then Ward D.

Still I found some of them to be just okay, and one to be a complete flop.

Four Stars
Housemaid
Housemaid's Secret
The Teacher
The Wife Upstairs

Three Stars
Never Lie
The Boyfriend
One by One

Two Stars
The Inmate

Other similar quick read authors:
Colleen Hoover - Verity is similar to the Wife Upstairs (but not the other romance ones)
Rachel Hawkins - also has A Wife Upstairs
B.A. Paris - UK author - The Breakdown and Behind Closed Doors are two to start with
Jeneva Rose
Kiersten Modglin - The Arrangement trilogy is good

Which book do you recommend the most op?

Interesting, I read Housemaid and The Perfect Son and hated them both. Her books constantly pop up as suggestions for me but I'm hesitant to read anything else by her because the last time I gave an author I intensely disliked (Collen Hoover) another chance I confirmed that I do, in fact, hate her writing.

Yeah, she's not the author for you.

I actually love them all so much that this one is a toughie but I would have to say my faves are the ones in the “Housemaid” series the best.

For the most part - I think all of her books are just great reads.
I love how they draw me into the story & the endings are always endings that I was not expecting at all.

I think her books are written by AI.

Why do you think this PP?

I think that she is an actual M.D.

I am halfway through her latest The Tenant and am not too impressed.

No spoilers but the protagonist is a little too “off” for me to believe he should be taken seriously. 😳

Lisa Jewell is absolutely amazing.

I am reading this book too, I bought it last wk at Target.

No spoiler here but if this novel does not have a good, surprise ending I will sue the publisher for four hours of my life back! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I almost DNF Never Lie. This could have been written by an AI. Cold, lonely and sad.

I'm currently reading the Tenant and it's slow going.

I've read all of her books and there is a sameness to many of them.

I am halfway and the book is actually getting better now with some brand-new twists that I never expected!
