| DH and I are cosponsoring a table through his work. Totally spaced and is in a few weeks. What can I wear to a spring gala? Invitation specifies cocktail attire. TIA. |

Galas are generally very formal. Since they specified cocktail attire, I would wear skew dressy with tall, strappy heels.
Given that it's a "spring gala" maybe this: https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/rickie-freeman-for-teri-jon-beaded-floral-jacquard-midi-dress-prod275440098?childItemId=NMT62TM_&msid=4890473&navpath=cat000000_cat000001_cat58290731_cat43810733_cat9360738&page=0&position=60 Or just cocktail gala attire: https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/helsi-florence-embroidered-strapless-midi-dress-prod275180499?childItemId=NMT61RE_&msid=4882073&navpath=cat000000_cat000001_cat58290731_cat43810733_cat9360738&page=0&position=7 |
"Crystal Party" - what does that even mean? |
I'm a pear. Used to be 6/8, now more like 10. Don't really want to spend more than $300-600, but for the right dress where I could get use over time, willing to spend more. Looking forward to suggestions! |

As a co-host of a table at a spring, crystal themed gala, maybe something like this:

It's the same dress in each link. It feels a little boring for a crystal themed gala, especially as a co-host of your table. |
NP and I like this because it seems dressy but not princessy - seems like something that a confident person would wear |
My bad: https://www.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/victoria-beckham-ruched-dress?ID=5116307&CategoryID=1005206 |
It's a pretty dress, but not really dressy enough for the event and co-hosting a table. |
What would you do - if a petite size 10? |
I don't think confidence is the right word. I think it reads this isn't a special night. Which is fine. Just don't mix up the two. |
