UF - better ranked and their basketball team just won March Madness! Go Gators! If you choose UF, be sure to turn in your $25.00 housing depost (application) asap. There is also a housing contract that you should sign if you are certain that your kid is going to UF (they are expecting a possible shortage due to 3 dorms that are being torn down) - though if you sign the contract and end up not going, there is a $225.00 penalty fee.
But seriously, UF has grown to have a great reputation and anecdotally, those who I met who actually go to the school love it! |

I drove through Athens several years ago and was blown away; beautiful campus and seemed like the perfect college town. |
