I love how anytime one of these videos drops, Fox News immediately has GOP talking heads on there to reiterate that all the people in the seats for that town hall were paid Democratic protestors.

Non-MAGA Republicans are pissed. Most of my family is made up of non-MAGA Republicans who served their country in the various armed services. They hate Musk and everything that he is doing. They are slowly turning on Trump for allowing Musk to have so much power.

Whether its Democrats or Republicans chanting, the logic holds. The tech billionaires' wealth went up like 10-fold -- from double-digit to triple-digit billions -- over the 2010s.

They think that's 100% due to their unique brilliance. But, of course, it's due to the trillions of dollars the Federal Reserve has pumped into markets; due to expansive fiscal policy, meager taxes, and government contracts; due to a stable business environment, sound regulation, and an educated workforce; and due to luck.

They do not, and have not, paid their fair share of taxes. Of course they should be taxed more.

The tech bros thought they could use culture wars to distract from the fundamental inequity of their tax burden. That only works so long as it is in the abstract. Musk has made the cost very concrete and Americans are getting angry.

The amazing thing about Musk is that he soaked Democratic administrations for so much in subsidies. Democratic climate-change-inspired subsidies made him the richest man in the world. At the core, he’s always been a government contractor. And now the ingrate his flipped?! He was just using us?! Eff him. He deserves everything that happens from here in out. Forget taxes.
