1923, Season 2

I watched the first episode and woah. A lot more sexual. I’m excited to get deeper in the season and see what happens.

I did not find either the first or second episode especially sexual at all. There are two scenes with some nudity but they are not sexy scenes whatsoever, very much the opposite, and then the one couple they hardly show a thing. I loved the first episodes but I am so frustrated about Spencer taking so long to get there, which I guess rings true to life in the time of boat travel!

Yeah they aren’t sexy scenes at all. The kinky stuff disturbed me - the woman was bartered and on a leash.

And the male rape was pretty shocking to me.

Agree. I'm surprised how graphic it was.

We just started watching the new season and I find Spencer's wife less annoying than in season one.

Why is Spencer the only one that can save the family? Why can't the other young man (I don't know his name) step up?

I’m still wondering how Spencer ended up on a boat - the end of season 1 he was being taken away bc he was accused of murder. Was this his punishment?

Yes, I was lost there too. The recap only showed him being taken off the ocean liner in small boat, like he was accused of murder and was being taken away. It's been awhile since we watched the show so I was relying on the recap.

Also, I hate and am disgusted by the sexual abuse/rape/imprisonment storyline with the one prostitute. It adds absolutely nothing to the plot - completely gratuitous. I'm just over it for entertainment purposes.

The only storyline I am interested in is Spencer and Alex, but barely.

Same at this point. The rest is a snooze. 1883 is one of my favorite shows ever and this is so inferior.
