If you're serious about soccer and you stayed at LMVSC, that's kind of on you.

You would think as angry as they seem to be they would have moved on. I've seen several kids go and come this year to/from different clubs during the pandemic months.

Those parents must be swimming in $$$. Some of us will have to wait until the end of the year. If it was easy and the club didn't hold our player pass then we would have left already. Having to pay the balance and pay again at another club is just not doable.

Does LMVSC hold player cards? I've only heard of that happening once and it wasn't LMVSC.

If you have not yet paid the total of the annual fee they are very unlikely to give it to you. Most other clubs ask for balance to be paid before releasing it.

If you are not receiving the service you signed up for, such as the academy within your DC age group, I don’t think any club would have a basis to force you to pay. Maybe pay a pro-rated fee on the services you did receive but I can not see how they can require full payment prior to releasing you. If they can prove that you did receive services as described when you registered, that’s a different circumstance.

that is actually a really good point, and there are a lot of teams with only one team per age group (need at least two for an 'academy'). and if there's been no player movement, that's not an academy either.

Hm. So is the issue here that PPs have white team players and are mad that they can't move up to red because there is only one team and no red team to move into?

Well there’s not one issue. Some ages have one team, some ages don’t see academy coach for white team, some ages separate “squads” all the time, some ages don’t rotate players

Lmao! That’s funny. You wake up at 5am and check DCUM before getting ready for a tournament. Last I was aware, there is only a small number of teams within the club doing tournaments this weekend. Well, okay, maybe 1. It must be safe to say you’re with the girls team playing at MD Soccerplex. Congrats on your win today!!

Good to get a win over us today, although tighter game (1-0) than during CCL (4-0) but really good to get a win after yesterday’s loss against MSI (not sure about comparable teams but Leesburg beat them). What else? Oh... very easy to determine what girls team played today. There’s only one 11v11 Lee Mount Vernon girls team in CCL, thus, only one LMVSC team likely capable to be accepted into Bethesda. Looks like tomorrow’s game against Juventus Montgomery United should be no problem, we beat them 3-1.

FWIW, DD's FPYC 2008 team scrimmaged against LMVSC 2007G Red and White and against 2008 Red over the weekend.

Premier AC is filling the CCL slot for the 2007 Girls.

Thanks. I think I had read previously that Premier AC was filling in. However, I somehow assumed that PAC was for one of the 2008 Girls slots (and not 2007). I take it that no teams is currently filling in for the 2008 Girls (based on the results/standings on the new and improved CCL website).

And as with the PAC boys team that's filling in, LMVSC is getting the "credit" at GotSoccer and YouthSoccerRankings.

Not that it's a huge deal, but it's just a strange oversight.

Tournaments that require applications are smart enough to realize it (for both the lmvsc and guest team). I don’t see where else those rankings matter
