I guess, in the same way that she’d be responsible for buying the dress she got raped in.

We all know that it means, but responsibility lies with the murderer that shot a women in broad daylight. It’s all on video, feel free to watch it.

Gee, what are the Feds trying to hide?

That is very bad.
The level of impunity displayed by the federal government is staggering. It’s difficult to understand how quickly it all seems to be falling apart.

Who are the "foreign invaders" the congressman is referring to?

Randy Fine is a known mental patient. Whatever side he takes you know that it’s the wrong one.

Trump/Miller is going to give the ICE officer the medal of freedom. Calling it now. Remember this post.

If you think it can't get worse, it will.

Republicans have to reign in these ICE agents. They are out of control. The shooter should be charged with murder.

Protesters need to be more careful. You can’t block traffic, ignore orders to get out of the car, cause chaos and confusion by trying to speed off in your car without consequences. Those consequences shouldn’t be death but she should’ve gotten out of her car and accepted the citation or arrest if it was warranted. She made a bad situation worse. Then the shooter made it 10000x worse.

"Both sides"??? The percentage of Americans who are unprofessional trigger happy ICE agents or protesters with the time and brazenness to interfere with Federal Law Enforcement make up a fraction of a percent of our population. These are not sides. These are two small factions of people who, together, have become a ticking time bomb that was inevitably going to go off.

Reckless and unruly ICE Agents and protesters do not represent large swath of people.

Sorry I shouldn't have said "both sides". What I mean is that like immediately after this, the Republicans aligned with the ICE agent and the Democrats aligned with the victim.

I wish Republicans would come out and say, "hey we have a HUGE problem with what that ICE agent did and he should be charged with murder."

And I wish the Democrats would come out and say, "hey that was a huge tragedy. Let's not let her death be in vain. If you are going to insert yourself in ICE operations, you need to stay calm, have a plan, and understand the stakes / the situation." (Not trying to victim blame but obviously in hindsight we can watch the video and see that she should've made different choices - though her murder is never ever justified).

Responsible rest with Trump, republicans and federal law enforcement. Who do you blame for the millions murdered by Stalin? These people are not even at the “I was just following orders” stage. Read what the maga posters are posting. They have no regrets and want more of this.

Also if you cancel healthcare and people dies who is responsible?

Before they approached her car, they were yelling at her to move it and she wouldn’t move. That’s why they approached it to pull her out. It’s terrible she was shot. Plenty of bad decisions made all around.

Google "officer created own exigency." It is not permissible to move to block a vehicle that is attempting to exit, and thereby create a reason to shoot.

Guess what, I decided it wasn’t worth it to walk out since there is a chance, albeit small, I could come upon ICE or national guard, etc. and be shot. So I don’t leave the building from the moment I pull into the garage to the end of the day. And I’m white. In the United States. This could happen to any of us. Be safe out there.

DP.

This post demonstrates that humans are terrible at assessing risk.

You are more likely to be struck by lightning or hit by a bus than shot by ICE or National Guard.

Sure but I pretty much have to walk by where the national guard people were shot and I feel like I’m living in a combination of dictatorship and third world country filled with crazy extremists. So I don’t feel like walking around DC alone anymore.

What was the threat this ICE agent was supposedly protecting himself from? The victim's car moving forward.

What happened immediately after he shot her? The car moved forward. Yet the agent easily got out of the way. Doesn't seem like much of a threat.

They have no regrets and want more public executions. This is only the start of this. Everyone should live in fear of federal law enforcement. This is what a police state is.

Oh I agree with you. I just get annoyed when people post direct quotes without the links to back them up.

He's also a Magna Cum Laude Harvard grad (B.A., M.B.A.).

I trust BBC’s coverage of the news.

Here is what BBC is saying:

It has no opinion. It says the Feds say it was justified and the mayor says it wasn’t.
