So what happens when the Federal government can’t issue Nov Food Stamps?

Trump needs something a little more explicit so he can deliver the funds, and then use the same reasoning to deliver funds to other programs.

It is the president’s job to lawfully execute the laws congress has passed. The funds are legally available.

If Russ Vought has suddenly forgotten how to apportion legally available funds then he needs to be fired. They can also
Lawfully transfer tariff revenues to snap just as they did for WIC and plan to do for farmer bailouts.

The amount of law breaking they are doing to fund military salaries and other things they WANT to do but have far less legal basis while playing dumb on SNAP is insane.

Vought is incompetent and demonstrates daily his lack of knowledge, skills and ability to manage a budget. He needs to be RIF’ed and go back to stewing in his own filth at the Heritage Foundation.

I just found out Russ Vought is divorced, because of course he is. These people are all such effing hypocrites.

What I love is how the Republicans proclaim to be Christian but cut food aid to the poor. Is that what Jesus would do?

Jesus would teach a person who is able to support themselves not to be on welfare their whole lives, unlike the intergenerational welfare we have now.

You are not "owed".

Jesus had a bunch of men following him around all day. Was that considered working? They left the professions to follow him.

Was the Last Supper more or less a squat? I don’t see any verse suggesting anyone paid for it with their hard earned money.

Yes, Jesus loves borders. No food for those hopping the border.

False. The contingeny fund is not "lapsed" and is good through the end of September 2026.

The Republicans are desperately flailing and lying to give themselves cover for the fact that they are deliberately weaponizing SNAP.

You can’t use contingency funds unless the program is running. Democrats voted no, so the program stopped running. Therefore you also can’t use contingency funds until they vote yes. It’s a simple concept but Dems don’t seem to be getting it. Go look it up.

I believe his primary commandment was to love.

That doesn't make any sense. What do you think contingency means?

What I love is how JD Vance was raised on food stamps and now wants to rip them away from other families that struggled like his did.

Nope fool

I know you are faking being Christian, but
If you are Christian, you are not owed anything by Him, but he showed you mercy.

Now go and do likewise

Matthew 25:40-45
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me

Not making people who are perfectly capable of independence, dependent on others is love. Tough love, but love nonetheless.

The majority of people receiving SNAP benefits are NOT “capable of independence”, fool. That’s WHY they receive SNAP benefits.

DP here. The selection criteria could be improved for sure, and it’s silly to deny that there is some fraud likely happening, but that’s no reason to throw out the whole program, which overall is needed.

Are you advocating for a Christian nationalist government? Sure seems like it.
