Great and all. However, I disagree with the assertion of character above all. Bottom line - if you post the job description next to his resume, he does not meet even the minimum qualifications. He demonstrated during the hearings that he less understanding of global security organizations or geopolitics than a well informed average citizen. Hegseth is an affirmative action hire in the original practice of it. WASPy white athletic party guy who assaults and harasses women gets jobs he’s not qualified for because of his identity as a white, Christian, athletic, big drinking, male who actively demeans women to prove his manliness and then jokes with all the other men in the old boys club.

I don't disagree. But he was qualified for the job on experience, skills and merit. Hegseth is not.

They are fathers and brothers. Do they really believe he treats women with respect, when his own mother said he did not?

Oh how I wish someone would have asked him whether DEFCON 1 or 5 was the bad one!!! People notoriously get it wrong and I bet he wouldn’t have known.
