I think if Ben didn’t reach out to her, she would’ve absolutely worked through the scandal as it appears the cheating was only an emotional affair and the reality star had never actually traveled or met A Rod due to COVID.

J Los kids really loved A Rod. A Rod was also in Miami next to Marc Anthony so it worked out well for Jen. The fly in the ointment was Ben. His messages made her drop everything and dump A Rod ASAP instead of work things out

J Lo didn’t want to head down the aisle with someone who found a way to cheat even during a pandemic so she broke up with him. Before the break up was even announced, she and Ben were already talking and she didn’t reach out to him. He reached out to her after hearing the bad headlines about a cheating scandal.

He always does with with her and Garner. He ping pongs and uses the affection of both at his own whim

Agree but no one thought the movie would get great reviews. No studio would touch it which is why she had to fund it all herself. It is essentially a music video with a few scenes that are not music interspersed in. Those are never going to do well. I mean, you can’t blame prince for trying because the album purple rain was a masterpiece
But No one was saying JLO’s album that the movie is based on as a masterpiece. She even said it herself in the documentary, “no one is asking for an album from JLO I’m doing this for myself” (wish I actually found surprisingly astute for her to admit).

So it’s not like it was surprise it was a flop. The sad thing is, I think Ben really loved her - that’s why he allowed himself to be part of this even though everyone, and I mean, absolutely everyone, told her this was a bad idea. He obviously knew it, but he went along with it because he loved her that’s why it’s so sad that they can’t make it work. But they clearly cannot make it work.

Sidebar- Purple Rain was incredibly successful at the box office and won an Oscar for best song. Not the best comparison.

Either way, advice to musicians trying this out - make sure you do make one of the most successful albums of all time to base it on, and then MAYBE it will work.

Yes, I agree with that. Having a whole group of people reading his love letters as inspiration for new songs felt super icky to me. A total violation of intimacy, and big surprise, the album blows.

You can actually go find transcript of this podcast, which I just did. Actually, somebody did care to ask about her fertility, the podcast host. Jen and Christy Turlington were being interviewed by their long time friend during a podcast and the topic was healthy pregnancies - I believe it was part of a maternal health fundraiser - and she was directly asked about her pregnancy journey and childbirth experience.

It was actually the podcast who had the quote, “you were born to breed.” And jen laughed and followed up with a joke about popping one out in a field.

It had absolutely nothing to do with JLo.

ARod isn’t exactly a quality partner either.

I think JLo needs someone rich and successful but maybe more on the business side of the entertainment business. Someone crazy about her who doesn’t crave attention but is okay showing up to events with her. Someone sober and maybe a bit boring.
