Thank you! This seems so obvious to me and I can’t believe so many people are falling for it. Their first go round was a PR relationship too. There were blinds when JLo’s relationship with ARod was going south about how her people were shopping around for a man she could land on her feet with so she didn’t look like a pathetic dumped middle aged woman.

Ben’s relationship with Ana was definitely PR. But I think if JLO and Ben had a contract and it was just for PR it wouldn’t be ending like this.

Why on earth not? This is the perfect excuse to cancel concerts that were failing to sell tickets. There will be back and forth- will they? Won’t they? To drag it out and at the end of the year she’ll quietly move on. Either way she was able to eek out a movie or whatever it was and an album and generate far more coverage of both of those things than if she were a mid- fifties performer who peaked 20 years ago and didn’t have personal drama

Assuming they break up, which is more likely to happen:

A) JLo starts seeing someone, "falls in love", maybe gets married; continues to work in some capacity, earn money, get publicity, look good and put out good pictures of herself

B) Ben is satisfied in a relationship for three plus years; writes/acts in a critically acclaimed film


I see (A) and (B) as representing "success" as each of them sees it. And I think (A) is more likely than (B).
