What a sad thing to spend your time hoping for.

Why? Unless he’s trained to check guns how would he have known if it was loaded or not? He relied on trained people who’s ONLY job it was to keep the arms on the set safe and secure.

Was the armorer specifically told to break procedure this way? Or did she wander off to take a smoke break and leave the guns unattended? That is sort of the weirdest part to me. My understanding is that all guns are supposed to be under the constant supervision of the armorer or under lock and key, so her sabotage story doesn’t make a lot of sense unless either she neglected her duties or she was instructed not to perform her regular duties (in which case she probably should have filed an OSHA or union complaint but maybe that’s why they hired an armorer who was living in a ramshackle rental and couldn’t afford to complain).

Don't be silly. She wasn't suppose to bird watch the prop guns. No one thought there was a live round, and this was the procedure on many sets.

That is literally her job.

Not when she put it on the cart.

Yes, she was supposed to watch the guns on the cart. That is literally her job.

They are obsessed with hatred. Maybe Alec took their parking space or didn't tip them enough. Very odd.

Read her latest statement. When she was pulled away she instructed her crew to watch the cart. Did she do it on that particular day? If someone put a live round into the dummy box she should have caught that. No excuse there, but with a hostile crew it's quite possible someone threw a dummy in there. Certainly makes sense because the rest of the bullets were in fact dummies.

Beyond tacky, and making sure they get a huge window table for the photographers.

They were eating at an outdoor table.

DP. No, it is the fact that he willfully violated the safety rules (accepting a gun from someone who wasn't the armorer, aimed the gun in the direction of people, and FIRED the damn gun) that has us upset. And then he jaunts off to Vermont for a little family vacation. He is disgusting and he deserves to go to jail. I also hope that the family of the deceased and the people who were injured by the shots go after him in civil court and take him to the cleaners.

I'm sure you're equally disgusted at the director and cinematographer, too, for trusting the armorer to do her job and for instructing Baldwin to point w gun in their general direction. Right?

No. I remain disgusted at Alec Baldwin, who was HOLDING THE GUN and PULLED THE TRIGGER. HE IS COMPLETELY RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS ACTS, even though he won't take responsibility for his acts.

It is remarkably apt and pathetic, and absolutely in keeping with his lack of character, that he is claiming it wasn't his fault.

I admit I have never liked him. We have known him socially since the 90s. While I am (well, was, because I will not ever be civil to him again) civil when we were in social circles, I would never allow him to cross a foot into our home or to one of our parties. I have friends who told their female staff members that they were NEVER EVER to be trapped alone with him because he was such a sleazeball. That was good advice then and probably good advice now. He hasn't improved any obviously.

The people he shot and the family of the young woman he killed should sue him for every penny he has. If they set up a Go Fund Me then my husband and I will contribute for that purpose. He should not be allowed out in society.
