Best way to counter Musk is to impact Tesla sales

I think the best way to counter and reduce his importance is to reduce his wealth that is tied to Tesla. Discouraging family and friends from buying Tesla cars would be a good start. Protests against Tesla would be another. This is a small step, but why not?

You misunderstand, Tesla is not priced based upon its performance as a car company or even as a technology company.

It is a cult stock propped up by millions “masculine men “who will use similar techniques as GameStop to keep the price high. as well as musk’s own insider, trading and other manipulations that I’m sure he has refined since he got slapped by the SEC for improper messaging.

Even if they were losing money, they would simply sell stock to raise more capital and the army of insanity will prop it up. And the key here is the price is set at the margin, I think, where like the price of all the stocks is priced out by the irrational high price of the last transaction

I have to say, I always felt off by a musk, and I felt kind of bad for it because I admired the companies that he was associated with and the goals of things such as hyper loop connecting cities without cars, and of course, SpaceX and Tesla. He was the basis for the Iron Man in the movies too!

He’s definitely hurting his own brand (which is somewhat separate from Tesla). At some point this matters in the stock market. Tesla shareholders must be uneasy.

There was a lot of shareholder litigation around his excessive compensation package. So if anyone is a shareholder that might be a more effective route to pursue.

It’s kind of investable that Tesla will lose market share because there are so many more options for electric cars these days. Polestar, Lucid, rivian to name a few plus all the electric options from established car brands.
