There’s a website laying out the argument for a 3rd term for Trump.

He’s already half dead. I’m not worried about this. They’d have to amend the Constitution. |
Do you think they care about the constitution?? |
What brazen hypocrisy. It was Republicans who created term limits in the first place because of FDR, and now they’re whining about how unfair it is.
I almost wish he’d won in 2020, because he’d be out of our hair now. The 4 year hiatus gave them time to regroup, remove all the moderate Republican guardrails, and form an unholy alliance with Silicon Valley. |
A lot can happen in four years. There’s plenty of immediate stuff to worry about. |
I don’t understand why people think Trump is joking?! He isn’t joking about anything. |
Correct. Just like they’re not joking about Greenland, Canada or the Panama Canal. |
Yeah, let’s focus on the now. Call your GOP reps! |
That’s one strategy, but they are suggesting several others. How It Can Be Done "It could theoretically happen." - Stanford University law professor Michael McConnell, constitutional law specialist. Article V Convention: The Article V Convention can be called by the states to amend the U.S. Constitution and change the unfair 22nd Amendment. All Republicans at the state level must publicly get behind the third-term project. Constitutional Amendment: The U.S. Constitution can be amended by an act of Congress. Republicans must publicly get behind the third-term project. Running as Vice President: President Trump can run as Vice President with a space filler as President in 2028. Perhaps Donald Trump Jr. could run on a Trump/Trump ticket before gracefully resigning on Jan. 21, 2028 after securing victory. This plan while unorthodox would show that MAGA cannot be stopped by any procedural rule. Supreme Court Ruling: The 22nd Amendment bans anyone from serving two terms in office, but it is not completely clear if that refers to two presidential terms under any circumstances or two consecutive presidential terms. There are legal challenges in the works to clear up the ambiguity regarding the 22nd Amendment. The conservative rule-of-law justices on the Supreme Court would be able to settle this once and for all, making it clear that the 22nd Amendment would allow Trump a third term as it would only be his second consecutive term. |
Wait'll they see his approval ratings.
These people are such deluded idjits. |
I never thought they were kidding |
There aren't enough states that would approve it, so I guess the GOP can put him on the ballots across the country, there would be legal challenges and ultimately either he would win and be sworn in, he would win and not be sworn in, or he would lose. |
I mean, whether he was on the ballot or not, he is disqualified for the office now because of his engagement in the insurrection on January 6th. So I don't know why he couldn't win and be sworn in again, and again, and again. The Constitution already means nothing. |
Is this an Obama game plan, OP? |
