Trump dictator-ing NYC congestion pricing

Look you can agree or disagree with him (personally disagree as most people commute via plentiful train services from the burbs; I grew up in a NYC suburb). However, from a GOP perspective, shouldn't tolls be left as a state issue without federal tampering? This just looks like petty overreach.

He is even trying to influence the judge in Brazil tasked with sentencing of Bolsanaro, NYC is still within U.S limits, the insanity of this man is on another level.

Another loss on the way for Trump. New Yorkers seem to have come around on the tolls and are enjoying the peace. The sad, scared suburban B&T crowd seems to be having a hard time with it, though. God forbid they have to mingle amongst the people on public transit!

The trades folks that drive their vans in everyday actually really liked the congestion charge because it made it MUCH easier to find street parking and reduced their drive time by a lot. The toll itself gets charged to the client, so it was no skin off their back.

i am a 'victim' of the tolls bc we live in the zone and i hate the congestion charge but he can f right off.

Nothing is too insignificant for a micromanager in chief. The only crumb he left in the house was too small for mouse.

MTA is already suing the USDOT over this. Fact is, the commutes are MUCH more efficient now and people are pretty happy with the results. We should be doing it in DC too.

Trump literally referred to himself as King today.

Wake up, people!

Exactly, just another expensed expense to the end consumer. And reason why businesses and family’s leave New York.

What authority does he have to do this? This is a local issue. It’s like the speed limit issue back in the 70’s.

Yep, just in case the Napoleon quote over the weekend didn't sink in.

It was in his dumb post when he announced that congestion pricing was dead. Thanks to him. Long live the king, he ended.

Okay, well the more time and energy he spends spinning himself into a tizzy about congestion pricing the less time and energy he for stomping around and destroying other achievements.
