Mostly I think it’s going to feel like deep sleep with isolated sense of dream like awareness.
In this state you are going to lose sense of self but you will have awareness of the presence of others. I think that is how we exited before birth. |
This kayaker that a humpback whale swallowed and spit out thinks death is terrifying: https://www.bbc.com/news/videos/c2k5e14vwx4o |
I flatlined and it's such a cliche but it was calm and peaceful and i saw bright white light |
I figure it's like before birth -- nothing. |
He was terrified before death. |
I came close to death while giving birth and it was ok. Peaceful. The light went out of my eyes like an old fashioned TV closing. It was nothingness.
I really felt nothing and it was very peaceful. Then I got saved. |
I worry about violent painful death. Like burning to death or drowning or being shot dead. But, I do not fear blacking out and dying at home. |
I think the process of going from alive to dead will be painful so I hope it's very fast, and I think being dead feels like nothing. |
I know it sounds crazy, but I’ve re-discovered the religion I was brought up with and I swear the stuff that’s happened to me lately in response to prayer is mind-blowing. I feel like I finally get it…those people who are dying and not afraid. Like I said, I know it sounds crazy |
The big sleep! |
+1 |
Hopefully you’ll have morphine available so you won’t feel pain. My father feared dying, he was quite nervous about it. But in the end I don’t believe it was painful. He reached out his arm and went into a coma. And that was it. We took him off oxygen and he passed away. Very peacefully. |
It's obviously painful for some, but peaceful otherwise. Think of all the people who die in their sleep. I hope that's how I go. |
Someone suggested it might feel like going under general anesthesia. |
I assume that’s the first stage before you get into deep sleep after brain activity stops. |
