Reid email , protecting immigrants

What are your thoughts on the email?

My kids are already seeing kids joke about calling ice etc however the irony is that they are in fact undocumented

Post the email.

Another pointless message from Reid.

I appreciated the Quaker reference in the last sentence.

Why does she feel the need to reassure everyone? People here illegally should be deported period.

It’s completely appropriate and accurate legally. Many other school systems are saying exactly the same thing.

I don’t see anything inappropriate in her email, including anything to suggest FCPS would flout the law. Some may have found it unnecessary; others may indeed find it reassuring.

Those who want FCPS proclaiming that they’ll do anything in their power to help get undocumented students deported apparently forgot where they live. Go move to some MAGA state if that’s the only thing that would make you happy.

This is a good email showing a thoughtful, decent leadership. The ones disagreeing are the ones who voted to have J6 criminals freed.

I don't see anything that raises eyebrows.

Reid had to make a statement and address the elephant in the room and she did.

I don’t think there was anything wrong about the email. It was just reminding people that the schools don’t collect information on immigration status, so there’s no way for the schools to know who’s here legally and who’s not, and therefore no data on that to turn over to the feds. Those are just the facts.

How dare she follow the law and the constitution! Trump says We're not doing that old stuff anymore.

This is the level of quality fcps determines deserves a 20% raise

Is Reid trying to get FCPS on this list:

"Besides ordering an end to DEI programs across federal agencies, Trump revoked a six-decade-old executive order that requires government contractors to proactively root out discrimination on the basis of race and sex.
The president also instructed each agency to identify the “most egregious and discriminatory DEI practitioners” among companies, nonprofits, foundations and other private-sector organizations and recommend up to nine targets for potential civil investigations."

+1000
People complaining here are the ones that hate it when facts get in the way of their distorted reality. They just want to rage. She shared what the laws are and that FCPS would abide by them.

Mask mandates protected our lives and our health. I cannot wait until 50 years from now when all your kids have covid shingles and mine are completely healthy.

You know you can only get shingles if you had the chicken pox at some point. Thankfully my children are vaccinated against chicken pox, have never had the chicken pox, so they cannot possibly get shingles. You are an idiot.

Try google.

It will tell you that you can get shingles after receiving the chickenpox vaccine, though it is a lower chance than natural infection.

Use correct facts when making a point.
