| My agency got an email blast this morning from OPM testing out a new government wide email list (I cannot wait for the eventual unsubscribe reply all email storm) telling us to respond. We have now received at least 5 follow on messages from our agency telling us alternatively to respond and not to respond. It is fun watching bureaucrats try and figure out how best to cover their asses. |
| What moron thought it was a good idea to send an email from a vague sender name, limited text, and a link to click on? We've been training for this for years - never click on suspicious emails! Feels like a trap. |
| Why does OPM suddenly want this capability? It feels spooky to me, though I’ll admit if they rolled it out last week I’d just think it was incompetent. |
| If you don’t reply within 2 minutes, they jjjw you’re not working. It’s a test. |
| Report as phishing |
Considering it arrived at 3:16 am…. |
Someone was working outside of core hours. If they didn’t get that approved that’s time card fraud. |
Mine is 2:20 AM |
| I responded Yes...did I mess up? |
| Mine came very early in the morning. I pushed the Report Phishing button right after. |
I would not do so if it is GOV or EDU, which should be legit. |
| My agency received an agency Broadcast telling us this was coming and said that if we receive communication from that email address, we should consider it safe. |
You have clearly failed your cyber awareness training. |
| I'm literally laughing out loud. This thread is so funny. |
No that’s how they engage in cyber attacks. |
