So I am skinny fat and right now I am around 5 ft 1 and 125 lb. I used to have an hourglass figure when I was younger and a teenager but it seems like I lost some of that booty since then. My bun level was pretty low and my doctor says it's due to muscle loss. My creatinine level was normal though borderline low. So I would like to try strength training and supplementing protein. What is the best way to start? I am not a big eater but I really want to gain muscle fast. Any recommendations? Should I hire a trainer? Any suggestions in Nova? |
A month is not really a realistic timeline and given your doctor said you had muscle loss you need to be careful not to hurt yourself. It's all about sustainability, you can't just work out for a month and be done.
Bodyweight exercises (squats, planks, etc) are always a good place to start. If you want to consider lifting, you should consider working with a trainer to help you learn form and safety. |
Several years. Turns out not allowing your body to atrophy takes work that nobody can do but you. Morons. |
You let your muscles decay into a cottage cheese flat butt over decades now you want it fixed ina month? Lol |
Not in a month but start lifting heavy and you'll see meaingful changes in a few months. |
One life fitness , and do the BodyPump classes, 3 times a week, and overlap that with Spin classes 2 times a week. |
+1 (minus the rude “Morons” comment) At the gym where I workout there’s a giant poster of Arnold Schwarzenegger with this quote: “A well built physique is a status symbol. It reflects you worked hard for it, no money can buy it. You cannot borrow it, you cannot inherit it, you cannot steal it. You cannot hold onto it without constant work.” Always strikes me as no truer statement. |
OP how old are you? |
To OP,
Its possible in a month, make sure to hire trainwr who can give you some gear. Your voice might change and gain some facial hair but totalky worth for the gains🙃 |
Thank you for the helpful comment. I of course plan to stick with workouts more than a month. I know that sustaining muscle takes work too. I also know that there are certain supplements that can speed up the process. I also know surgery is the easy way out if I want to just lift and plump. It takes more time than men for women to build muscle that's why I wanted to know if anyone could rec a supp or trainer that helped them. |
Thanks, I love that quote. |
Stairs, running, biking |
No legal supplement will do anything in a month.
To build muscle high protein diet, creatine supplements and heavy weight. In about 6 months you should some decent results. |
What's your baseline neurological tone? Have you ever had defined muscles? It may not be possible for your body type. |
not in a month. why the deadline?
definitely possible given the butt is muscle and can grow! |
