Does anyone watch Teen Mom?

The show is mostly sad to me. I hate how Catelynn's mom treats her.
Is it just me or does she look like she's on something?

I would bet that Catelynn's mom is either a meth addict, or a recovered meth addict. And then you have Farrah's whose mom was arrested for attacking her. Both of those girls definitely have the cards stacked against them, but seeming to be doing the best they can with what they have. Catelynn actually really impresses me with her maturity, especially given her home life.

I watched a couple episodes but had to stop because it was just too depressing. It seemed like the only mother who was doing a good job was Bentley's mother.

I love Bentley's mom( Maci) I think she is doing a fantastic mom. Whenever I see how Catelynn is being treated I want to punch her mom in the face. She just goes off on her, and calls her a little bitch all the time.Not cool. WHy did she go off on her friend last night?

I watch it with dd. I think it does a good job of showing how difficult it is to be a teen mom and thus discouraging teen motherhood. On the other hand, I feel uneasy about the extent to which these kids are now getting on the cover of gossip magazines which glamorizes their situation. But overall, I think it's a good show to watch with your teen.

Got hooked when I was on maternity leave. Catelynn's mom definitely looks like a meth addict. It pained me they way they tried to talk them out of the adoption.

On the positive side, watching it made me make sure my baby never uses his pacifier outside of the crib and that we keep him on a schedule.

Why doesn't Gary have a job?

i love the show. i watch it all the time. i even got dh into watching it.

it's so sad. it's a trainwreck.

i think they should show it in schools. some of the stuff these girls deal with scares me to death. makes me count my blessings that i'm 30 and happily married with a good job, clean house, and wonderful family.

Gary so needs a job. I haven't been impressed by the "baby daddy's" on this show.

It was very sad to see Catelynn's home life exposed, especially how she was cussing with her 4 year old right next to her. I think I had to turn it off at that point.

I used to think Maci was the smartest, but now she wants to move 2 hours away for her new man? I think she should at least finish some of her schooling first. It makes me uneasy.

The 4 yr old is Catelynns brother. Gary and Amber annoy me. On a semi-related note, she looks great! She lost a lot of weight. Their apartment is disgusting by the way. It doesn't seem like they pay much attention to their daughter. Farrah is maturing, but I was shocked she got scammed. Doesn't everyone know about those scams by now?

I only watched a couple of episodes when pregnant and found the show really sad. I thought that mothers were not as bad as some of the fathers. Can't recall any names now, but there was this one guy, really skinny with the nastiest attitude ever, and I remember thinking, are you going to be someone's father??

And the name Bentley struck me as odd.

I love how Maci and Bentley interact. I want to punch both Gary and Amber and steal their beautiful, neglected baby. Farrah has grown on me, but she's still dumber than a bag of hammers.

I watch the show too but missed most of the first season. I'd like to know where these girls live. I know Maci lives in Tennessee but what about the rest of them. It seems like wherever they live, the cost of living is pretty low. I think Catelynn handles herself very well around her mother who needs to be in rehab too with her stepfather. She and her poor younger brother are being raised by a lunatic. I think the show does a pretty good job of showing how it really is but I don't like that those girls are recently all over the trashy mags.

Catelynn is in Michigan, Amber is in Indiana and Farrah is in Iowa or Nebraska.
