“The Minnesota ICE operation ended up with 4,000 detained. At a cost of roughly $70K per detainee, taxpayers spent $280,000,000 for this operation. Of those 4,000 detainees, only 560 had criminal records and most of those were for minor infractions, like running a stop sign or speeding. Of the 560, maybe 30 were accused of violent crimes or dealing drugs. So, how do you feel about wasting $280 million dollars to capture 30 criminals?“
