Melinda French Gates whining about her divorce

She apparently raised her kids to be decent people. Why in the world has she earned any of this BS? There's some serious misogyny among DCUM posters. Did your mothers not love you enough?

I’ve been following Melinda since she and Bill started their foundation. They have been huge in public health and she has done a lot for women’s health. Anyone who is only following her after her divorce has missed a lot.

She seemed like other wealthy or even just UMC women I know who've been through a divorce. Yes, she has way more money than these women, but her story was remarkably similar: after the divorce, she turns to travel, book group, philanthropy and sometimes a new romantic partner. [b]One wishes them well, but it's a pretty predictable tale.

Sounds pretty healthy. What do you expect?

Honestly so many people think money problems cause divorce. It isn't terrible to see that even fantastically wealthy people who think they have married decent smart men get absolutely spun by their entitled midlife crises.

Money doesn't cure heart-ache. It doesn't prevent stress and panic attacks. I know, I have millions but suffer from a panic disorder.

Also, did you know that Bill deeply regrets his divorce? Called it the worst mistake of his life.

This break-up was incredibly painful for both of them.

Have some dammed respect, OP.

Well, he can't regret his divorce without regretting his serial adultery, but maybe that's what he meant.
