If you are avoiding Amazon and Target, where are you buying what?

As previously discussed, Walmart is much worse than Target or Amazon and has been since its inception on so many levels.

No it’s not

DP. Yes, it is. Everyone should cares about American wages and corporate greed and rural communities and reducing reliance on federal programs, should have stopped stop there decades ago. They are evil #1.

The evil oligarchs are living rent free in your mind. I bet cadet bonespur is in there too.

Go read up on the history of Walmart from the start. They purposely lowered prices at new stores in rural/less populated area until they ran all the local/smaller stores out of business. Then they raised prices. They have long refused to give people enough hours so that many employees are only PT/not eligible for benefits, despite the employees wanting to work more and wanting to get benefits.

Go ahead, read about the last 60 years of Walmart. If you have no issues with it, then shop there, or if it's the only thing nearby then shop there. But otherwise there are many smarter choices and have been for over half a century

I bet you're fun to party with

I know several people who work/worked for Walmart and know a lot now as we use their direct delivery and they are happy with the pay and benefits and hours. You use others as talking points but people rely on these jobs.

Obviously people rely on these jobs. And I wish Walmart (and others) treated their employees better overall (great that your friends are treated well, but that's not been the case for many stores over the years). Also, I choose target over Walmart simply because the stores are much more organized and cleaner. When I used to venture into Walmart, every one was a disaster, aisles littered with stuff, and staff was not very helpful. Target's around me have always been much nicer stores in general and on a $100 bill you might pay $105 at target vs Walmart, and that's a price I'm wiling to pay for the better service/cleanliness

People who are content and enjoy life aren't worrying about this nonsense. Education has nothing to do with it. Maybe take up a hobby or reducing screen time will probably help.

Okay, Daisy Buchanan. If you’re so carefree why are you on this thread arguing about how other people spend or don’t spend their own money?

It’s not nonsense, and it works and it’s why you’re trolling here. The bus boycotts are why people with dark skin don’t have to sit in the back of the bus. But you do you, and go live your life and shop wherever you’d like.

I made the transition from Walmart 25+ years ago. Very happy with life, but I'm capable of using my purchasing powers to spend on businesses that treat their employees better. Sorry you don't include being a nice person/empathy for others as part of your daily life.

You can be content and enjoy life and still strive to do what you can to correct the injustices of the world.

Not a Walmart shareholder by any choices. If my mutual funds hold it, well so be it. But I have never and would never purchase it directly.
And in your 401K you typically don't really have a choice of investments.

Look at me! Look at me! I have a few anecdotes, so screw your data.

People have scarcity mindsets and low expectations—that’s why we’re here.

Look at PP saying “you’re fun at parties,” as that’s all that matters. You can be fun AND have principles. They’re not incongruous.
