Best admitted student days?

A few years ago on admitted student day at Lafayette, my daughter went to one of the classes she was assigned to and the professor never showed up! Big disappointment. She enrolled elsewhere...

We attended two:
- UMD College Park was incredibly well organized for its size. I liked it very much.

- Johns Hopkins. It was a nice two-day event with a lot packed in. For some reason, I expected better, but it was nice.

Caltech was the best! Kid really loved MIT too. Stanford did a nice job also.

The first hour is a very engaging lecture with a different professor from a different department each week, and the second hour is a small group discussion facilitated by a college senior and covers the reading, but also let's the students talk with each other. The course is free and is two credit hours if you end up going to Oberlin. It's been awesome as our DS is getting rid of pre-college jitters, the class is interesting, and he is excited every Tuesday. It's been interesting for us because Oberlin was one of three schools that DS was truly viewing as of equal interest, but now he only talks about Oberlin and this class. He hasn't made a final decision (and we haven't either as we will have to sign off), and things could change, but it's looking like Oberlin. And if so, he world go in with some added confidence.

Don’t miss out on the “All Roads Lead to Oberlin” admitted student days. They got us good - the absolute best we’ve attended. Graduating in May!

Plus Oberlin will actually pay for our plane tickets (student plus 1 guest) for the admitted student day visit!

What other colleges pay for student plus parent to visit like Oberlin does?
