Why are activities cancelled?

It’s 39 degrees and a 35% chance of light showers at 5pm. All night sports cancelled for that?!?

At this rate we will be off for 3 days for 4” of snow next week.

Afternoon (3–6 PM): A brief period of heavier snow showers or squalls is expected.

Maybe you missed the 12 car pile up yesterday morning.

Yes. Welcome to Montgomery county. They might as well officially cancel Monday and Tuesday now (plus delayed start on Wednesday).

Because of snow? Why would an unrelated traffic accident yesterday cancel activities today?

My kids are in Baltimore county schools and they have an EARLY DISMISSAL that was just announced. For a 35 percent chance of light snow at 4-5pm.

Weather indicates possible wintry mix for this afternoon at around 3-4pm. I don't buy it, but this always happens on the first hint of winter weather - schools freak out. Then they calm down later in the winter.

But the temps won’t go below 35 degrees so the roads will be wet.

It’s all fun and games until your kid is still on the school bus at 6:30 pm. Then, y’all want to sue the district for not anticipating delays on local roads.
