Not sure anyone is blindly defending a bunch of women who signed up to be on a real housewives show where bickering, lying and catfighting is the norm. It's cringeworthy most of the time, but heck, it is why we tune in and comment here, that and to see some familiar sites around town.

The education comment struck a nerve probably because most of the Potomac cast is AA and they have a Bachelor degree and many of the housewife cast, heck many adults, do not. Also some of the other housewives have eyebrow raising pasts. So far nothing too scandalous beyond divorces and taxes has come out about the Potomac women, but time will tell.

Well I think denying it would be even more odd, since she was with two cast members. I drink, but two martinis is a lot of alcohol (let alone four if you believe Ashley - which I do). Then for her husband to tell her not to drink so much, and she is drunk before she gets to the venue? I understand she is filming and with a catty group of women, alcohol can help to loosen up, but she needs to revisit the quantity. Plus she's a skinny little thing, she needs to cut back.

I can't believe you would not call Ashley off camera and say "tomorrow when we are filming and talk about the accident please don't mention me drinking." I mean...legal consequences anyone??? I guess there is nothing they can do after the fact but I still wouldn't want it on camera about how I drove drunk home and ran into a tree. And even if it was just 2 martinis with lunch she weighs MAYBE 110 pounds so Im sure she was tipsy. "A long blink" while driving is not a sober thing to do.

Why would she be driving anyway for filming? On the rest of the shows they use car services when attending events. The show really should provide them for liability reasons but even if they don’t, Monique can certainly afford it. And her family has A LOT to lose if she had injured someone.

I also thought it was weird that Monique seemed to have no problem admitting she had been drinking prior to the accident. She's lucky she didn't hit anyone, because that admission would seal her fate.
