Am I a stalker?

Anonymous
I looked up my coworker’s home address, and drove by his house.

He told me his son made JV basketball and what school he played at, so I watched a game online.

My coworker gave a talk, which was later posted on YouTube. He told me about it, so I watched it and made a screenshot of him and saved it to my phone.

I looked up what his wife does. She’s also a physician, but at a different hospital.

Nothing is illegal. Everything is out there for anyone to see. He shares info with me, then I find a little more. Am I a stalker?

Yes. Why are you doing all this?

Yes. But you can be a harmless stalker. Driving by his house based off the address you looked up makes you a stalker.

He is really nice to me. I am attracted to him.

Anyway, he told me he lived 1.5 mi from a certain mall, so he told me the general area.

Back off, psycho.

Get a hold of yourself. What would your coworker's reaction be if he found out? If the level of embarrassment you feel right now makes you want to hide in a dark room, even if you're home by yourself, it's gone too far.

This is not normal or healthy behavior. Leave him alone.

Saving a screenshot to your phone, driving by his house (just once, or multiple times?), and looking up his wife are a little creepy. The rest seems harmless and normal enough.

If you're doing this because you're attracted to him ... he's married. Let it go. Find someone single to crush on.

Stop this today. You are veering into stalker territory. If you hadn't said you were attracted to him, I might say you were just a little too nosy. Stop now before you go too far.

Yes you are.

Do you have anything going on in your life? A job? Hobbies? Something isn't right here.

Had you not done these two you'd just be nosy. You're absolutely a stalker and slightly insane. Who does this??

If he or your boss found out they would think less of you. So you should stop before they find out.

I do all that and more to all kinds of people and definitely to guys I'm attracted to. As long as you aren't actually predatory and going after the guy or parking outside his house or work or planning on how to murder his wife, what's the harm? I have drawn the line for myself at actually paying for info like a PI would on the internet but if it's out there and it's free and easy to get, why not?

You just sounded bored and nosy until the screenshot. Seems like you have a crush. If it’s harmless entertainment, fine. Sounds like you have self-awareness so maybe it’s just a little distracting right now.
