It’s funny how it’s like a wave is coming

I mean it’s all quiet now. But Trump is about start deporting people, mass firing potentially hundreds of thousands of federal workers, purging the pentagon of anyone deemed “disloyal”, and basically turning America on its head.

All because “the price of eggs is high”.

I am convinced most people lack critical reasoning. How do they not think about the future? This is going to be a transformative presidency that will crash the dollar from terrible economic policies, alienate us from actual democracies and allies, and cause so much friction and sadness domestically. It will be a kakistocracy stuffed with yes men who will be scared to offer real intelligent advice in the face of bad policy.

No wave is coming and those things aren't going to happen next year.

Did everyone forget the last time? He made a few changes and spurred a whole lotta lawsuits, almost all of which he lost.

I guess you haven't read Project 2025 and noticed who Trump is appointing to key positions. Here is what is coming:

-use of military on Americans inside our country
-destruction of expertise in government agencies
-rollback of consumer and worker protections
-evolving our schools to be incubators for "American christian exceptionalism"
-tariffs to make things more expensive (and so Trump can "negotiate" directly with any country or company)
-pegging the dollar to crypto
-banning or at best, diminishing requirements for vaccinations
-destruction of the rule of law where white collar crime and pedophiles are concerned
-rollback of environmental protections including clean air and water

They sold the whole country down the river for “muh gas, muh groceries.”

Please do keep being so condescending to the voters about the “price of eggs is high” as if that’s some sort of conspiracy theory. It’s very endearing!

Simple US vs THEM mentality. None of these policies will affect them, just the evil Dems/Libs.

As IF you can be won over by thoughtful discussion and facts. Please. We’ve tried that too.

I wonder how long it will take for them to admit they have made a horrible error in judgement (some of course will never own it).

Well, they screwed this country out their own selfish need to save a few bucks. Jokes on them, they will pay more for everything under Drumpf.

And gas was really cheap already when they did it

I heard on NPR this morning that they're going to cut social security

We'll see in 2026 and 2028 - that'll be the test of whether they're happy or not
