The reason “eggs are expensive” is because large corporations realized they could maintain artificially high prices “as the new normal” even after COVID and the supply chain crises had subsided. They learned what the market would bear. It pains me how fking stupid so many voters are and who don’t read a daily newspaper. Apathy will be the death of us all. Adults need to grow the fck up and pay attention and try and become better educated.

This is why Democrats lost this election - so out of touch with what's happening outside the Bethesda/Arlington bubble. It's manageable for you but not for folks needing food banks and pay day loans to get groceries. It's not manageable for people who can't afford rent or transportation to and from work and end up homeless and jobless. It's not manageable for people who can't afford their increased healthcare, car and home insurance premiums.

No, YOU are the one in the bubble. The issue is capitalism and price gouging. Trump, no only has no answer for it, but he is kowtowing to the retailers and producers who will make it worse, not better. Harris had a plan to address it and the people most impacted were duped into voting for Trump.

Yes, and when Trump was asked by Fox’s Harris Faulkner how he will bring down prices, he said energy is the key to bringing prices down, and when you make donuts, the energy is the stove and the truck that takes the donuts to the store.

That’s the kind of keen insight Trump has into the issue.

🆚 Harris who repeatedly committed to strict anti price gouging policies. Corporations are still riding the wave and they’re not dropping prices until they’re forced to do so. They’re riding on the fumes of disruptions from pandemic, supply shortages, labor market distortions, as well as Ukraine. Crazy high market returns are enriching the price gougers. Corporate America loves the dumb SOB that allegedly was elected.

You voted for the felon instead of the prosecutor. She told Americans time and time again that she can and will enforce her policies.

Which policies? She's been Biden's sidekick for almost 4 years and she was unable to articulate what policies she would put in place to bring down prices.

She was actually pretty specific, but you chose to ignore it and peddle the BS you just posted.

You mean price controls. No, we're not doing that crap.

You cannot dictate to someone how much they can sell a product for before they decide to start escaping markets and cause shortages.

It's not the government's business to set prices on goods and services.

I voted against someone who lacked common sense and market experience and I was happy to do it.

There is no gouging. It's a made up narrative by democrats because they insist on spending with no abandon and devaluing the currency by creating more of it out of thin air.

Well, you’re misinformed again. Dems always clean up Maga messes. This is just a snippet:
In addition to legislative efforts, several states — Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia — experienced increased gubernatorial activity in 2022, with governors issuing executive orders to enforce or extend price-gouging policies in response to public health and weather emergencies. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers (D) took a different approach, using his executive power to ban the sale of infant formula at excessively high prices during the national formula shortage.

Dear Democrats, please stop being elitist pricks.

I will when dumbasses stop falling for a conman and pretending it was a rational choice.

These are jobs programs for people who have no skills so they can keep the unemployment numbers low.

The dollar figures are much higher since this only covers DoD spending.

Time to rip DEI and ESG out by the root.

3.5 MILLION illegal immigrants entered our country last year.

That's approximately the population of Connecticut!

A whole state's worth of "uninvited" immigrants entered the union thanks to politicians' inaction or incompetence . . . combined with ineffective laws and an overwhelmed border patrol.

There was no vote on this "51st state." The American people had no voice in the matter.

Talk about undemocratic.

And gas was really cheap already when they did it

I heard on NPR this morning that they're going to cut social security

Well there goes the money for NPR donations from its biggest listening pool.

Harris was actually pretty specific: abortions, democracy, freedom, and joy. Who doesn't want joy in their lives?

BS. Anonymous posts on a mommy website aren’t changing votes.

Well, when your entire party is mocking people who can’t afford groceries, you don’t tend to win, but do go on.

No one mocks people for having trouble affording groceries. Democrats are mocking the fact that people who can’t afford groceries voted for a charlatan who not only has no plan for reducing the price of groceries, but who lacks a basic understanding of most issues and doesn’t care about poor people, and who heads the political party that tells people to lift themselves up by their own bootstraps and gives tax cuts to the rich, pretending that wealth will trickle down. They literally voted for the government least likely to help them.

Well, what has Biden done to address the concerns of these people other than to tell them the economy is doing well?

Inflation has gone down (reminder caused by a botched pandemic) but people can’t pay attention to facts anymore.

Jesus the gaslighting is incredible.

So is the stupidity of the maga in here

All because “the price of eggs is high”.

I am convinced most people lack critical reasoning. How do they not think about the future? This is going to be a transformative presidency that will crash the dollar from terrible economic policies, alienate us from actual democracies and allies, and cause so much friction and sadness domestically. It will be a kakistocracy stuffed with yes men who will be scared to offer real intelligent advice in the face of bad policy.

People do lack critical reasoning, but they also just don't care/aren't paying attention.
