Pantry purge challenge

Anonymous
I've decided to declutter my pantry, found several items I don't really know what to do with (besides throwing away, but I hate wasting food like that)
Hope DCUM would help
Items for this week:
Chickpea
Almond flour
Looking for some creative ideas of what to make
Help, please
PS and join - maybe you have something random items to use too

I use chickpeas in a quick salad -

chickpeas
chopped tomato
chopped cucumber
chopped red onion
feta cheese
oil & balsamic

Apples are in season so almond flour is good in an apple crisp topping instead of regular flour.

Are the chickpeas canned, dried, or flour?

Because I have a ton of chickpea flour that I should do something with. Ideas, anyone? With regular chickpeas, I make a lot of hummus and channa masala.

Oh, apple crisp... Going to farmers market tomorrow, going to pickup some apples

Dried. Soaking now. We rarely eat hummus. What is your recipe for Channa masala (have to Google what it is, looks good for this weather)

I make it pretty much like this, but maybe less pepper and generally no sugar.

Thank you! I think it was something like this I bought the chickpea flour for, but then forgot why I had it!

I LOVE this chickpea salad. Like I can eat the entire thing myself.

This is my go-to chick pea curry (I'm Indian; I don't make the traditional Chana Masala), and it's pretty easy.

Heat oil, and add 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds (omit if you don't have, but it makes a difference).

Add chopped onions and fry until turning golden.

Add a bunch of chopped garlic (I use a whole head; adjust to taste) and fry for a few minutes.

Add tomatoes, and a little salt, and fry until the juice from the tomatoes is gone, and the oil separates from the mixture.

Add turmeric, chili powder, and coriander powder. Fry for a couple of minutes, taking care not to burn the dry spices.

Add water and cooked chana, and let simmer until it reaches a fairly thick consistency, and the masala is well incorporated into the chana.

Finish with coconut milk, and chopped cilantro.

Note: For this recipe, you need more tomatoes than onions. So if you use 1 medium onion, use 2-3 medium tomatoes.

Chickpea flour makes a great face mask.

This is a great idea and I should do the same.

I love banana bread with almond flour. I like it just as much as with regular flour. Lots of recipes on the internet -- search and find one that most meets what you have in your pantry.

I'd throw chickpeas into a bean salad. Chickpeas, green beans, and another bean -- red, pinto or black -- with some diced onion and a vinaigrette.

This chickpea recipe was surprisingly good. I had it on warm naan bread:
