So weird how my weight reduces

1. I'm post menopausal, so things go slow, but:
2. I have lost about 20 lbs since Jan (I told you it was slow), and would like to lose 10 more. It will probably take 6 more months.
3. Weights 3x a week, 3 mile walking daily with weights, 1200 to 1300 calories per day. Vegetarian.
Here's the thing- I will stay at a weight for a very very long time, like 3 or 4 weeks, and then out of no where, I'm 2 lbs lower. Then I stay there a very long time, then maybe 1 lb. Occasionally I go up, but it reverts in a few days. Probably water weight. This has been going on all this time. My Fitness Pal and other calculators, plans always talk abour .5 to 1 lb per week, but this seems to be how I do it. Hard to stay motivated.
Is this actually more like how weight loss works?

This is actually very typical. Weight loss is not linear. Often when I have one of those big 2 lbs sudden drops it will go up some the next day.

If you weigh yourself daily you will see that weight is always fluctuating., but, if you are trying to lose weight and in a deficit the trendline will be going down.

I think the fact that most people don't realize that this it typical is why a lot of people give up on what they are doing, throw the towel in and claim nothing works. They see a the same weight for a week or even small increase after doing everything right and give up.

Per #3. If you were doing all of that when you were 20 pounds heavier, as you lose weight, you need to consume even fewer calories. You really shouldn't eat less than 1200 a day, so try adding in an extra mile of walking a day.

My scale has given me the exact same weight for 3 weeks now, regardless of time of day, pre-food or after food. I don't think it's broken but it's really frustrating. And I am on Wegovy and lifting 5x a week!

That is odd. I don’t understand how it never changes. Even pre and post pee it should change. And you usually weigh more at night than in morning.

This is very similar to my experience. Post-menopausal, down 20 pounds this year, 1200-1400 calories/day, moderately/fairly active, long plateaus. It's a slog. I'd like to lose 5-10 more pounds, but I think I may need to change my approach if I really want to get there.

I find the only way I lose weight in a week is by going dairy and gluten free. Scale does not budge no matter what I eat or how much I exercise if I am not avoiding gluten and dairy.

I know reading is hard. OP says she's already eating 1200, so I suggested not to reduce the calories, but increase the movement.

Also, many people are 5'0, there are thousands of us. Maybe more.

My weight never changed pre-post pee. Poop, MAYBE, but not a given. Maybe I don't pee enough? Little bladder?
