Its still early. Im not getting mine until October as thats when my doctor said to get it. Getting the flu shot Saturday.

My family (two adults in their 50s and two teens) will get it, but we are waiting until mid-October. We will get it with the flu vaccine and want to time the flu vaccine to reach as far into flu season as possible. All this is by way of saying that I expect the numbers will go up.

I’m getting mine next week. I think it’s way too early to start drawing any conclusions about the uptake.

I believe the stats. We aren't getting any of these

I need to find a date when I can be flat out on my back for the next 2 days, as always happens with me and Covid shots.

Why take it? It doesn't stop transmission. The side effects for me were horrific for weeks. No way.

Nope.

I went last weekend and while it wasn’t crowded, there was a steady flow of people for both flu and Covid vaccines. I agree it’s a little early still. I would have waited a bit longer, but have a large event coming up and wanted to be vaccinated ahead of it.

It does lower transmission. Not stop, but lower. It decreases your chance of getting covid and when you don’t get covid you can’t transmit it to others.

I’m guessing uptake will be low but I still thinks it’s way to early to make a judgement. I’m planning to get it but I’m waiting until November so I’ll have peak benefits over the holidays.

I was at a Walgreens in Nova this morning for flu and Covid and there were 8-9 people there for vaccines. I think people aren’t rushing in on day one like they were but we will see the stats tick up across the next month.

Because taking the vaccine will make getting Covid more tolerable, prevent hospitalization, and will decrease the chances you pass it on to someone.

My husband got the Covid vaccine already because there was something at work and he took advantage of, he didn’t get it last year. He was intending to, but never got around to. This year it was low hanging fruit so he did it.

I got mine last week. I have a couple of big events coming up in October and just didn’t want to get exposed to anything and deal with sickness.

Last year the CDC reported 23 percent got the shot. It will likely be similar this year.

It’s hard to make any assumptions about this time of the year frankly, there’s a lot of people who got COVID over the surge this summer so wouldn’t be getting shots now anyway and also a lot of older people got shots in the spring to prepare for summer trips - so they are not going to get the Covid shot for this year until later in the fall.
