I honestly don't understand how a woman can not believe accusations like this.
I guess you're part of the lucky tiny minority who has never had a bad experience with a man.

And how dumb can people be to wonder why women don’t go to the police? Even Cosby got out of prison because the prosecutors messed up. 70+ Cosby victims, vilified by fans of the show.

I've been physically and sexually assaulted a number of times and have never gone to the police. I'm a lawyer myself. I know there's no point.

seriously do you all understand how bad it must have been for beverly johnson to go to police about a white man hitting her in the 1990s?

+1 and I remember hearing about that at the time. I'd been a fan of his on L&O until she came forward.

And no police reports, of course.

There were police reports in the case of Beverly Johnson.

And the police were called to the ER when one of the first two accusers was bloody and needing stitches, but she did not name him to the police. She did, however, name him as the cause to friends AT THE TIME and I think her boss. And there were texts shown to others.

Doesn't PP remember the decades-old mountains of untested rape kits? Even when there was evidence, it didn't matter. It just didn't matter.

11,000 in Detroit, going back decades.
Cleveland had over 5000, and over 12,000 in LA.

Not in line with current discussions but hate how Lily was involved with both the wedding debacle (hiding the phone in her purse) and now Big’s death (Carrie at her recital). And what was Charlotte wearing at the funeral!

I’m kind of sad how this thread went from people dissecting midlife fashion and aging choices to Chris North’s raping and attacking women.

Escapism this is not.

Statistically speaking, there are so many rapes and sexual assaults that PP has surely been assaulted and raped. Some women turn the hose of judgement and skepticism outward and will supply the misogyny they themselves heard at the time of their assault. To the nasty PP I say that it is never too late to find someone to talk to about this. Your life will improve immeasurably.

Is that the woman who needed stitches? I saw no police report referenced. And need stitches after rough sex does not mean rape occurred. And did the reporter see medical record evidence this woman actually got (vaginal?) stitches? I didn't see that cited. Maybe I didn't read all the links.

The worst encounters were literally two women who went over his apartment (jacuzzi?) and went on date(s) with him. The other was an 18 or 19 year old hostess who he allegedly got handsy with while drunk? It just doesn't add up to me. And the two outlets are, frankly, rags.

Chris, I think you need to accept the vast majority of us believe the victims. Your career is over.

DP.

1. No.
2. Beverly Johnson took out a restraining order against Noth.
3. Interesting that you have such strong negative opinions -- and don't hesitate to share them -- despite not reading either prior posts or the links.

No, you didn't. Beverly Johnson was a very successful mode who was in a relationship with Noth for years.
I don't know why you're so keen on disbelieving these women. Needing stiches is NOT normal, even after very rough sex. The victims DID tell people about the assaults. And the fact of the matter is that sexual assault is very common, and is even more common when rich and famous men are involved.

And? You think women aren't assaulted on dates? And in private places?
Are you still under the delusion that rape means an ugly old man jumps out from the bushes and grabs a teenaged virgin in public?
