Chill out. You are embarrassing yourself here by thinking everyone is as keen to go to Skyview as you are. |
I don’t claim to speak for everyone, but families in the 5 ES areas likely to go to Skyview are more likely than not either neutral or pleased about the change. It’s just Nothing embarrassing about that. |
It is more embarrassing to be a deranged parent hellbent on sending their kid to a high school without their friends because of some perceived advantage of the brand-name school. |
|
They may have an older sibling at another school, or they may want their kid to take advantage of opportunities at a school that Skyview can’t offer. Parents also make similar decisions when they move their kids to private schools or pupil place them to schools other than their base schools. Judging by the venom in the posts, you probably aren’t worried about a kid’s well-being so much as incensed that someone could consider an alternative to be better for their kid than Skyview. |
None of those things would be as important to most kids as going to the same school as their friends. |
DP - some of have an older child at the base high school and let the younger sibling decide - and they picked Skyview. |
Why are you feeding the troll? Ignore the troll. |
And that's why these decisions are entrusted to parents, not 13-year-olds. |
We loved it. My kid got away from all the kids he hated in middle school and got to start fresh in high school! |
Troll. Probably one whoposted a few posts above. May not even live in area. |
Depends. Parents can have their own prejudices. |
That is not at all typical, but I’m glad it worked out for your kid. |
I think Reson folks won't be happy with her either for doing nothing to prevent slhs to do down. |
