| Congrats on “opening” a strait that was open six weeks ago, and all it cost was at least 13 dead service members, thousands of dead Iranian civilians, tens of billions in US taxpayer dollars, US loss in global standing, and the Iranian regime’s increase in power. |
But Obama did not blow up the world’s economy and throw away 55 billion on a war that accomplished nothing. |
It is only open while the ceasefire holds. Trump better accept the surrender terms dictated by the Iranians- unfreeze Iranian assets, pay reparations and remove bases from the region. The nuclear stuff should be of the table unless the US and Israel give up their nuclear weapons and enriched materials. |
Good grief. You truly think Iran has the upper hand here? What have you been smoking? |
Of course they do. They emerge from this war stronger than they went into it. Are you keeping up at all? |
|
The Strait is at risk of closure...forever (or until the oil and gas run out). Iran has newly-realized power that they can exercise at will. |
Trump is so desperate to get out of this self-inflicted quagmire he’ll take whatever Iran offers. |
Uh, Iran now has a grip on a major oil chokepoint unless the US keeps a huge fleet stationed there. They also ruined Gulf State alliances with Israel and the US by hitting them with missiles/drones.They are a major ME power now. |

“ So Iran bottom line: Trump just paid $20 Billion for something which Obama paid $2 Billion and Trump called him a traitor The Shart Of The Deal” -Kieth Olberman |
+1 And they have only opened the strait partially, on a shallow and narrow part, with the condition that USA cooperate - but much disagreement still remains so it’s likely to be shut again. |
