2010G BSC Coming For FVU

posting this because reading some of the comments on this and another forum it seems there are some things people just don't get.

Something people need to understand is FVU is different from Vienna, BRYC, Valor etc...what I mean is FVU holds the ECNL charter so they are their own entity and will simply choose the best players they can at tryouts. Just because you play for any of the clubs in the "union" is absolutely meaningless and FVU is not beholden to taking any of them. The rising U13s are a good example of that.

When McLean was part of VA Union, McLean held the ECNL charter so VA Union was not its own entity. This is very different from what FVU is. The entire FVU org is a scam from the "6 national titles" of a org that has only existed for 2 years to any 'union' or clubs that are supposedly part of it.

Its time we as parents wise up and stop getting conned...pre ecnl for bryc, valor, vienna etc means youre in position to make the RL team and thats it

The players have nothing to prove with a scrimmage. The team last year worked best together
they would have made it back to the Elite 8 again this year if those players stayed. Now Richmond gets to go to playoffs and nobody from the group last year goes to playoffs.

Oh that richmond team. The one that lost to BSC 10s 5-0 recently.

Can you tell me one top 16 team last year’s Union beat? They got the dream draw to get to Richmond and still barely made it.

We were not sold on a winning team as no one can promise that but we did think we would win more. We didn’t believe in the college placement at FVU. And since BL, NM and ML has left there has been zero players going to top level schools or power 4s. There was a 15-20 year history with those coaches of top college placement. So check back with us in 6 months to compare college placement.

Despite it not being a great season the BSC 10 team is still far better than the FVU 10 team. In the meantime BSC has been adding talent to their current roster while FVU coaches and parents have been refreshing the ECNL website every Saturday and Sunday trying to be first to find out the latest Bethesda results.

At some point the BSC obsession has to stop. And quit the Elite 8 talk as well.

You forget that others were part of the sell too so it's all well known. Don't lie! As for the college placement - everybody knows that is all CW & JA and not the coaches who left. But nice try!

BSC was a strong team last year and did well previously (compared to this year). How do you add supposedly strong players to a strong team and get a much worse team performance than before? It doesn't make sense.

You're winning less games with more talent and "better coaches?". Not sure there are anymore excuses to be made now nor 6 months from now to excuse the last month of performances. Anyone who says they are satisfied with Showcase A/B is lying, whne you lose to Penn fusion North american cup will be lost too. There is a serious problem over there in BSC/GFR club united that will not be solved during the recruitment window. Good luck getting there with this shallow uninformed perspective.

They've gotten worse every year since ECNL began for them. Last year was the warning sign when they limped into the playoffs claiming league games didnt matter because they got automatic berth fom Cup competition, and then got grouped. When the lack of athelticism and team cohesion has always been the issue. Their solution was too add players from one team with guarantees galore along with their coach; no problems now, LMAO!! so shorsighted and frankly just dumb....

u13 - Final Four
u14 - Elite 8
u15 - Grouped in playoffs
u16 - Non-qualifier for playoffs

When starters, on a team that never subbed left the team afte u14 anyone paying attention knew it wasn't going well for anyone other than legacy players paying the coaches mortgages and making their car payments for them. FVU defectors were appropriatley warned of all this and still thought they new better. Stay in MoCo and be accountable for poor decision making. Teach yur DD accountability
